From the dress to the cake to the venue, there's no shortage of wedding details to keep track of leading up to your big day. Thankfully, Calgary hosts several wedding events at different times of the year to give brides and grooms an idea of what's out there and help them get it all organized. Get inspired for your big day at one of these annual wedding events in Calgary.

 

Bridal Expo

When: September 17, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: BMO Centre, Stampede Park

What to expect: If you haven't found a wedding dress yet, Bridal Expo is the place to do it. The event will feature the biggest wedding gown sale in the province, with dresses from Ethos Bridal GroupCameo & Cufflinks and Novia Mia Bridal. The best part? You can get them for 40 to 70 percent off. But dresses aren't the only thing you'll find at Bridal Expo; guests can check out more than 100 exhibitors specializing in everything from photography to hair styling to invitations, as well as two fashion shows featuring wedding apparel for brides, bridesmaids and men. There will also be an artisan market featuring food trucks, live music and products from local artisans like Cinder & Sage DesignsLittle Me Paper Co.The Travelling Teacups and more.

Bliss Bridal Show

When: October 1, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Deerfoot Inn and Casino, 1000, 11500 35 St. S.E.

What to expect: Bliss Bridal Show will be setting up shop for one day only in both Edmonton and Calgary this year. At the Calgary show, be one of the first 100 people in the door to get a gift bag, watch a fashion show or check out vendors such as Hourglass Bridal Boutique, Moores Clothing for Men, The Sugar Shack Body Sugaring, Sweet Cakes by Vernz and more.

The Bash

When: January 20 to 21, 2018

Where: Hudson, 6th Floor of The Bay Heritage Building

What to expect: The Bash launched for the first time in 2016, and it's back for another year. The curated event offers a different experience than most other wedding events in the city, focusing on modern, local and stylish vendors that will help set your wedding apart. This year's vendors include Pearl & Dot Bridal BoutiqueFleurish Flower ShopGathered Table Supply Co.Neat RentalsSilly BoothArt + Alexander and more.

The Wedding Fair

When: January 14, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: BMO Centre, Stampede Park

What to expect: Cover all your bases at The Wedding Fair, a large wedding event with more than 250 wedding exhibitors. While the event covers the major things like bridal fashions, menswear, florists and invitations, you can also take care of smaller but equally important details like gift registries, wedding favours, lingerie and stag/stagette parties. There will also be two fashion shows featuring bridal and menswear fashions.

Bridal Fantasy: The Boutique Bridal Show

When: January 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Calgary Telus Convention Centre, 120 9 Ave. S.E.

What to expect: Now in its 14th year, Calgary's Bridal Fantasy wedding show has made a name for itself as one of the city's premiere wedding events. The Calgary Telus Convention Centre will be filled vendors specializing in bridal gowns, photography, hair and makeup, menswear, wedding cakes, jewellery, flowers and more. Make sure you don't miss the two fashion shows either. This year's event will also feature complimentary massages for guests, free gifts for brides attending the event and a dress sale with gowns from Ethos Bridal Group and Golden Brides.

OneLove Wedding Experience

When: May 20, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where: Deerfoot Inn and Casino, 1000, 11500 35 St. S.E.

What to expect: This is not your typical wedding show. Not only does the OneLove Wedding Experience prioritize the inclusion of couples of all genders and sexual orientations, but the event ends with an actual wedding ceremony at the end of the day. The one-day event also features a fashion show, wedding vendors specializing in everything from makeup to photography to baking, and a DJ spin party. In 2018, the event will be stopping in Kelowna, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Victoria.
