There’s no shortage of streaming platforms out there. While most of them have at least some kids’ content, none is quite like Calgary’s Kidoodle.TV. The service has a range of streamable shows that have all been manually reviewed and vetted by a moderation team, and it’s easy to set screen-time limits. Kidoodle.TV does not collect information on children and its commitment to safety is outlined in detail here.

The platform comes from locally owned and operated company A Parent Media Co. Inc. and became commercially available in 2014. Today, it is available in 160 countries around the globe on major platforms like the App Store, Google Play, Roku and FireTV. It is free to download and use, though premium accounts are also available for $6.99 a month.

The app has a range of kid-focused content broken down into age groups zero to two, three to four, five to eight and nine to 12. Parents can create multiple custom kid profiles upon signing up where they choose which content age groups to enable, set bedtime limits and lock the app with a passcode if desired.

Some of the titles currently on Kidoodle.TV include Dennis the Menace and Gnasher, Kidz Bop, Pocoyo and Pet Superstars. There’s also a “Family Moments” section where you can record or upload 2GB of family video for your own private use.

All of the above is included with a free account. The perks for a premium account include ad-free streaming, access to additional, premium episodes, expanded screen-time controls, the ability to disable individual shows and an expanded 100GB of cloud storage for Family Moments.
