A still from the film Paper Year.
Now in its 15th year, the Calgary Underground Film Festival brings in films from around the world, covering a wide range of subjects and genres. It’s also the place to see work by indie filmmakers that you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. Over the course of this almost week-long festival, catch some of the 30 feature films such as Paper Year, An Evening With Beverly Luff Linn and American Animals, as well as more than 20 short films. And that's not all — there will also be a retro Saturday-morning cartoon event, independent video games at the CUFFcade, a National Canadian Film Day event and more.
