Gravity Espresso & Wine Bar Joins the Inglewood Community

How do you attract a loyal community following? Become part of that community. And it doesn’t hurt to also play to peoples’ vices: caffeine, liquor and sugar.

Gravity Espresso & Wine Bar is the latest addition to Inglewood’s eclectic scene and is the perfect spot for anyone in need of a fix.

The airy space is a mix of rustic and industrial, with moody blues contrasting the exposed, concrete ceiling. The tables were built by owner Andy Fennell from reclaimed barn wood.

The art is from DaDe Art & Design Lab and the bar is made of warm English wood, commissioned from Uniquities (both are Inglewood businesses).

The selection of Phil & Sebastian roasted coffee ($2.95 to $5.60) is unadulterated, so don’t expect to find flavoured lattes here. Likewise, you won’t find any cocktails on the menu, but there are spirits like vodka ($7 to $10) and scotch ($7 to $17), best enjoyed in their purest forms, or with a splash of water.

There’s also beer and wine and the appropriate pairings, from cheese boards ($20 to $25) to savoury sandwiches served ($9.25 to $9.75) on whole-wheat flat panini. Or, on the sweet side, there are desserts like cheesecake ($7) and baklava ($1.75).
