Best Late-Night Patios

If you're going to be out late, you're going to want to be at one of these patios.

Broken City

The rooftop patio at this popular rock club-watering hole is open whenever the weather is decent, but, once the seasons change and temperatures stay above zero overnight, management opens a dedicated full-service bar (as well as washrooms!) upstairs and the good times really start to roll. Open until midnight with room for 133 people, 40 per cent of the patio is also covered with heaters to keep late-night revellers warm.

The Living Room

The roomy street-level patio in front of The Living Room on 17th Avenue S.W. is so prominent, it’s as well known as the restaurant itself. It’s nice to sit on the wood-walled patio any time of the day, but, after dark, when the trees are lit up and the fireplace is going strong, it really comes alive. Plus, the kitchen is open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays for when you need something more sophisticated than late-night pub grub.

Vin Room Mission

The Vin Room’s rooftop patio overlooking the busy nightlife on 4th Street S.W. is a nighttime retreat for anyone fancying a glass of good wine and some cheese and charcuterie or a couple of tapas plates. With 100 different wines available by the glass and blankets offered up on chillier nights, this intimate, 50-seat patio is a deliciously sophisticated place to finish off an evening with some vino or to get lost in a great conversation.
