There’s a new spot to get your locally made goods, fresh produce and tasty eats. Located in Lake Bonavista, Avenida Food Hall & Fresh Market is home to around 40 restaurants and vendors. Compared to other markets in the city, this one offers a significantly different selection of vendors — around half of the businesses at the market are completely new and four of them are by local food truck owners who wanted to open year round brick and mortar locations.

The restaurants at the market cover a wide range of cuisines, including Thai, Mexican, Indonesian, Ukrainian and Ethiopian. Guests can also pick up products for home, including baked goods and bread from Grainz Bread Shop, chocolate from Adila Chocolaterie, flowers from Meadow & Vine Floral and home decor items from Magenta Home. Plus, several vendors offer fresh produce, cheese and meat products.

The more than 22,000-square-foot market also has a spot called The Mercantile at Avenida Food Hall. Here, you’ll find a small selection of products from more than two dozen vendors, many of whom used to be featured at the Symons Valley Ranch Market before it burned down. Look for items from Going Nuts, Sunshine Blends, Your Local Ranch Ltd., Mountain Rhino Donuts and more.

One thing to note is that unlike most of the large markets in the city, Avenida Food Hall & Fresh Market is open in the evenings, making it easy to swing by and pick up some food after work. Check it out from Thursday to Sunday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
