Turner Valley’s Eau Claire Distillery, Alberta’s first craft distillery, already makes some mean small batch spirits. But now, the award-winning company is adding to its beverage repertoire with the launch of its new Eau Claire Soda Company, which is producing small batches of bottled tonic water.

The tonic waters are made in the distillery’s barrel room, which was renovated to accommodate the soda bottling line. What’s great about Eau Claire’s tonic water (aside from its delicious taste) is that it’s a little better for you than some of the major, name brand tonic waters. The Eau Claire tonic has less than half the amount of sugar and calories in it, there’s no artificial flavouring and Alberta beet sugar was used to add sweetness.

Eau Claire Soda Company currently has two tonic water flavours (original and elderflower), and the company plans to add more in the future. It comes in packs of four and can be purchased at the distillery’s tasting room and at local stores such as Kensington Wine Market, Lukes Drug Mart, Craft Cellars and more. Purchase a bottle of the distillery’s Parlour Gin or Three Point Vodka as well and you have all the makings of a perfect cocktail.
