La Maison Simons is Opening in Downtown Calgary
The Quebec-based department store will be in The Lancaster Building

Soon there will be no need to travel to West Edmonton Mall to get your fix of Quebec department store Simons. Calgary has its own coming March 2017.
It will be 92,000-square-feet over four levels in The Lancaster Building and TD Bank. The Lancaster Building is that 10-storey building close to The Bay downtown. To maximize the size of the store there will be a walkway leading to 11,000-square-feet in TD Square in an area across from Harry Rosen. McKinley Burkart is designing the store to keep some heritage details while creating the shiny and new modern retail space we all want. Like all the Simons stores, there will be a huge art installation included in the design.
The Edmonton store opened in 2012 and was the first Simons outside of Quebec. It measures 126,000-square-feet making it a little larger than what Calgary’s will be. Ours will still have plenty of space to carry designer fashions, accessories and home products.
