With a penchant for bold looks, luxury fashion designer Lauren Bagliore is no stranger to making heads turn with her designs. Her latest collection is no exception.
The Avenue Capsule Collection took shape earlier this year, when Bagliore joined stylist Leah Van Loon in crafting a dramatic cape for the September issue of Avenue magazine. She said she was “so inspired” by the process that she opted to complete the look.
“I wanted to make a mini capsule collection of avant-garde, yet wearable pieces that can be layered and worn individually or together based on my inspiration,” she says.
The stand-alone collection features nine strategic pieces in a classic black and white motif. They can be worn as a package or individually, making each piece the perfect fit for any occasion.
“It’s great for the modern woman who is going away for a week and wants to transform her look while on business or holiday,” says Bagliore. “The pieces can be worn for fall or spring seasons and without over packing – which we have all mistakenly done before.”
With texture, asymmetrical cuts and the unmistakable air of modern architecture, the Avenue Capsule Collection is as unique as the artistic mind behind it.
“I would compare what I do to a sculptor on the potter’s wheel,”she says. “I come alive as an artist and find joy as if it were my canvas.”
