Sarah Pike makes her teapots using Alberta clay and finishes them with steel and reclaimed oak handles. Each teapot (teapots shown are each $120) takes about three hours to render, and the nature-inspired textures are added using a variety of custom rollers. Pike celebrates awkward imperfections with pottery she says expresses personality and attitude. In addition to teapots, her one-of-a-kind pieces include cream and sugar sets, yunomi (a form of Japanese teacup) and mugs, butter dishes and table lamps and are available in Banff at the Willock and Sax Gallery.
