The latest Calgarians to join the Top 40 Under 40 were in good company Tuesday night, as friends, family, alumni and more came out to celebrate their achievements at Avenue's 2015 Top 40 Under 40 gala.

With more than 600 registered guests, the evening marked Avenue Calgary's largest Top 40 event yet. Honourees and guests spent the night amongst historic cars, planes and memorabilia in Heritage Park's Gasoline Alley, where they took the time to mingle and have special Avenue Calgary magazine cover photos taken in a photobooth provided by SoPhoto.

Aisling Tomei, host of CTV Morning Live, emceed the formal presentation at the 2015 Top 40 Under 40 Gala.

Local musician and singer Chris Nevile kicked off the evening's formal presentation with a lively keyboard rendition of Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now." Emcee Aisling Tomei, host of CTV Morning Live, introduced the Top 40 Under 40 Class of 2015 honourees following a congratulatory video from Mayor Naheed Nenshi — this year marked his own 10-year anniversary since being named a Top 40 in 2005. Nevile closed out the presentation by serenading the Top 40s with Queen's "We Are the Champions" as they took a group photo.

The Class of 2015 joined Pete Graves, president of Redpoint Media & Marketing Solutions, Kathe Lemon, editor-in-chief of Avenue Calgary and Joyce Byrne, publisher of Avenue Calgary, for a group photo.

This year’s Top 40 Class was comprised of 47 people due to three duos and two trios who were co-honourees. It’s also the first year that there have been more women honourees than men.

The celebration went late into the night, and was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the exciting work being done in Calgary. A special thank you to our sponsors and partners the University of Calgary, Kiewit, CTV and Heritage Park, whose support helped make the special evening possible.

Congratulations to the Top 40 Under 40 Class of 2015, and thank you to everyone who came out to join in the festivities.
