How to Eat Gluten-Free in Calgary
Where to purchase gluten-free baking and gluten-free food products, plus how to preserve flavour and nutrients when eating gluten-free.

Avenue’s city-wide community survey asked respondents to rank various community characteristics in terms of how important they were in making a neighbourhood appealing.
We asked about factors such as access to transit and the size of homes in a community, as well as resale potential and curb appeal. In addition, we asked which amenities — from schools and parks to restaurants — make a community great.
Out of all the 21 factors and 17 amenities we asked about, respondents told us the single most-important for them was a low crime rate and a feeling of safety.
To rank communities in this category, we used crime rate statistics provided by the Calgary Police Service for both personal and property crime, as well as the survey responses to questions about how safe people feel in their neighbourhoods.
Based on those criteria, these five communities rank the safest in Calgary.
