We rolled out the results of our second annual Calgary's Best Neighbourhoods this month and as always there have been some questions about how we created the list for 2011.
This year, thanks to the increase in responses we received for the Best Neighbourhoods Survey, we collected enough statistically significant data to include 50 of Calgary's top neighbourhoods.

Based on readers' response to our survey questions each neighbourhood was given an indexed score out of 100 and a rank out of 50 for each criteria category. Our survey partner Leger Marketing then used these scores and rankings to come up with an overall ranking for the 34 neighbourhoods.
