Flowerfall Chandelier From Domaine Fine Furnishings & Design

Michelle Symon, interior designer, Domaine Fine Furnishings & Design

“We’ve seen floral motifs used in some very interesting ways in furniture, lighting and accessories. What makes these pieces interesting is the twist they take on traditional floral motifs by using interesting materials, oversized patterns and unique finishes and textures. If you can combine the use of floral fabrics or wallpapers with one or two of these three-dimensional furniture, lighting or accessory pieces, you can create a unique and very contemporary floral theme in a space. Our antique white Flowerfall chandelier, made with tiny cast-resin flowers, is a great example of a more contemporary use of florals. It is also important to incorporate areas where there are solids, so as not to overwhelm the space with too many florals.”
