John Gilchrist
John Gilchrist reviews restaurants for CBC Radio in Calgary and is the author of nine national best-sellers on dining in southern Alberta. His weekly “Off the Menu” column appears in the Calgary Herald and he is a contributing editor with Avenue and Where Calgary magazines. Gilchrist teaches Food and Culture programs for the University of Calgary and leads travel programs to culinary destinations around the world.



Andree Lau
Andree Lau chronicles her dining adventures — such as sampling camel hoof tendon — on her blog, are you gonna eat that? She writes the “Lunch Rush” column for Metro Calgary and has unearthed Calgary’s hidden-gem restaurants in a weekly segment for CBC Radio. She is partial to rib-eyes, but will suffer fruits and vegetables.

As the food writer for the Calgary Herald and blogger behind Calgary Cooks and Patent and the Pantry, Gwendolyn Richards knows a good meal when she eats it. She believes in the beauty of a good burger, a well-mixed whisky sour and any kind of lemon dessert.
