Calgary's Pierre Lamielle Wins World Cookbook Award

Kitchen Scraps: An Illustrated Cookbook named Best Food Book Illustration by Gourmand International.

On Friday February 11, Lamielle's book was named Best Food Book Illustrations in the World by Gourmand International in its annual World Cookbook Awards.

Lamielle is one of the 5 Canadians authors who were recognized  for their great food books. Each year since 1955 this worldwide competition hands out awards in 15 categories. This year saw 136 countries taking part. See all of the winners at cookbookfair.com.

Lamielle attended the French Culinary Institute in New York City. He is currently the columnist of an illustrated food column at Swerve and also teaches at the Cookbook Co. Cooks. Follow his blog at kitchenscraps.ca
