On November 6, fashionistas gathered for The Art Gallery of Calgary’s 7th annual ARTwear fundraiser. The evening began with a reception and wearable art fashion show at AGC by Dee Fontans and her talented class from the Alberta College of Art + Design. Attendees were then whisked off to the posh Hotel Arts ballroom for the main event: an eye-popping fashion show featuring clothing from some of the hottest boutiques in town. Sleek white couches lined the runway for guests to linger and enjoy the dazzling show introduced by event sponsor Martha Hart of the Owen Hart Foundation and hosted by Citytv’s Jill Belland and Judy Gabriel. Following the show, guests stayed on to dance the night away to local performers Kyemara. All proceeds from the evening went to AGC’s education and public programming.
