Patisserie du Soleil
It’s a bakery, a coffee shop, a fine breakfast-lunch-and-early dinner cafe and a great community meeting spot.

Art Central lived up to its moniker on June 25 when it played host to two events. AXIS Contemporary Art was the home for the launch of artScene Calgary, a non-profit group made up of young professionals aiming to enhance the arts.
Elsewhere in Art Central, members of the 129-year-old Royal Canadian Academy of Arts (RCA) gathered to wind down with some food, wine and an exhibition of works by the Academy’s new inductees after a multi-gallery stroll.
A lively mix of artists from across the country enjoyed mingling while a live band kept the tempo jazzy and upbeat. The parties merged and converged throughout the evening, with RCA president Jeffrey Spalding moving between both. To cap off the busy evening, the hardier partygoers headed across the street to the Palomino for musical performances co-hosted by Sled Island, CBC Radio and artScene.
