How to Eat Gluten-Free in Calgary
Where to purchase gluten-free baking and gluten-free food products, plus how to preserve flavour and nutrients when eating gluten-free.
From the runway to your walls, in the cycle of trends it’s only a matter of time before what happens in fashion spills over to home decor. This past fall, the sweater colour du jour was grey, and now the trend is to wrap your walls in the versatile tone.
“Greys are the new neutrals,” says interior decorator Alykhan Velji.
The look, however, is not about channelling cinder blocks and prison cells. “When most people think of greys, they think cold and austere, but greys are more complex, with warmer tones,” says Velji.
Skipping greys with cooler undertones narrows down the selection and allows for choices to be almost foolproof, he says. Grey is also the ideal base for the complimentary trend of adding bold accents. “The nice thing about grey is it goes well with any colour,” says Velji, pointing to purple as a popular punch colour for 2009. “It’s a fabulous accent colour and there is lots of variety from deep aubergine to lilacs.”
