Review:
The 17th Avenue redevelopment might make the strip a little less appealing this summer, but brave the big holes and heavy equipment to find the little jewel that is Brava Bistro. Although it's sandwiched between a Subway and a Starbucks, the patio is charming and inviting on a summer eve. Sharing is always an option: try the barbecued prawn pizza (with and smoked Gouda, $15) or the P.E.I. mussels in a white wine-leek cream sauce served with pommes frites (a.k.a. french fries) and aïoli, $14. Brava is a happy medium between casual and fine dining, and has an extensive wine selection.
