Review:
A recent evening at Divino Wine & Cheese Bistro convinced me that, while the atmosphere is lovely, the food stands on its own. The mussels in a tomato, garlic, white wine and caper broth are huge and are served with frites ($16), the wild B.C. salmon with tomato-braised spinach and citrus risotto ($30) is the entree to have. Start the table off with tempura haricot vert (fancy green beans in tempura, $7). There are high-end restaurants that leave you hungry and unsatisfied, but even if your wallet is empty after dinner at Divino, your belly will be full. Lunch 11 a.m. Monday to Friday, dinner seven days a week.
