HBO's 'The Pacific' Mini-Series Starts Sunday

Need reassurance that paying for cable is still a worthwhile endeavour? Look no further than this Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks HBO 10 part mini-series. Nearly a decade since HBO's most successful DVD set of all-time Band of Brothers, Hanks and Spielberg are back at the production helm of another WWII-based cable epic. The show begins with the aftermath of Pearl Harbor and moves straight to the grizzly Guadalcanal campaign of 1942-43. The highly anticipated television event starts this Sunday at 7:00pm and 9:00pm on HBO Canada (Channel 306, 836 on Bell, Channel 58, 228 on SHAW).
