Patisserie du Soleil
It’s a bakery, a coffee shop, a fine breakfast-lunch-and-early dinner cafe and a great community meeting spot.
Cirque Du Soleil has returned to Calgary for an almost 6 week run of Kooza, a new touring show that promises "an adrenaline rush of acrobatics in a zany kingdom." The show is a bit of a return to the roots of the world-famous circus placing an emphasis on acrobatics and storytelling.
Performances for Kooza begin Thursday, September 16 but the troupe rolled into town early to get ready for the performances at the Stampede Grounds. One of the largest pieces in that preparation is setting up the massive Big Top tent that will house performers and a capacity of 2,500 spectators for each show.
Yesterday Calgary media were invited down to watch the "The Push" which literally raises the roof on the tent. There is something magical about a circus with a Big Top and as you'll see in the video below it takes a lot of people to get the job done.
