Avenue Design Competition Finalist The Cube

Always looking for ways to conserve space in his 1950s bungalow, Calgary-based cabinet maker Jon Bots designed and built the multifunctional piece of furniture he now calls The Cube. It is a wooden cube, hollowed for storage, that has a reversable lid that can act as either a table top or a cushioned seat. "I am a working artist, I suppose, who works with wood," says Bots.
