One Grand Prize winning entry will be selected by the judges from the finalists at the designer showcase event.

Judging

The judging panel, consisting of staff of the Contest Sponsor and design experts, will judge entries based on form, function and finish. The judges will select the finalists based on the entry materials received including photos and descriptions. Finalists will be eligible for the design showcase and the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize winner will be judged on the same criteria, but the judges will see and be able to interact with the pieces during the Design Showcase or at another time if the piece is a built-in item.

The Grand Prize winner will be announced at the conclusion of the Design Showcase. If the selected winner is not at the event, they will be contacted by e-mail within five (5) business days of the date the judges make their selection. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted within five (5) business day, he/she will be disqualified and another Grand Prize Winner from the remaining eligible entries will be selected and the process noted above will be repeated until a selected entrant is contacted or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first.
