Best. Phone. Ever.

Now that the world’s greatest cellphone is available in Canada, you’ll need to make sure you’re properly equipped.

1. Two Ways to Play
While the iPhone has quickly become the device most people on the move listen to music to, its 16GB capacity means it isn’t as great for your music collection as a 120GB iPod Classic. But moving between two devices can create compatibility issues with your accessories. JVC’s iPod/iPhone Audio System ($150) doesn’t play favourites. It has two docks, one for each device, and an AM/FM tuner for kicks. Audio quality is about what you’d expect for a stand-alone system, but all things considered, it’s the perfect all-in-one stereo for your kitchen or bedroom. (jvc.com)

2. Power to the People
For all of its inherent awesomeness, one thing no one at Apple will ever brag about is the iPhone’s battery life. All that surfing, watching, listening, calling and GPSing can take a toll on your ability to stay powered up. For $100, the Mophie Juice Pack adds six hours of 3GB web use, seven hours of video playback, 24 hours of audio playback and up to 250 hours of standby time. The Pack itself is a snug fit, and is the perfect accessory for when you travel or can’t maintain a regular connection to iTunes. (mophie.com)

3. Against the Grain
There are literally hundreds of options when it comes to protecting your iPhone. Some are stylish, some are practical — only one is made of wood. Yes, wood. Miniot’s iWood case is now available for the 3GB version of the phone, and it is without question the most distinctive case on the market. While most cases cover up the iPhone’s natural beauty, the iWood actually makes it look stunning. Available in oak, padouk, cherry, mahogany and walnut, the iWood also offers custom engravings for total personalization. Style comes with a price, though; in this case, it’s about $150. 4. Good Day Sunshine
Protection and power in one convenient and environmentally friendly package. The iPhone 3G Solar Charging Case has its own internal battery, which can deliver a full charge to your phone. The case itself comes in multiple styles, and features a front-side solar panel that can charge the case battery with about three hours of exposure to bright light. While reasonably priced at $55, the Solar Case isn’t the sleekest package for your phone, adding more bulk and weight than other options.

5. Stereophonic
The fact the iPhone doesn’t offer stereo Bluetooth support seems like a massive oversight. Fortunately, Wi-Gear is doing its best to accommodate by bringing high-quality, wireless sound to your new favourite MP3/cellphone/video player combo device with the iMuffs MD-210. The convenience is obvious and the sound quality decent, but there are downsides — the required adapter is a fairly large addition, and at $180, wireless listening doesn’t come cheap. (wi-gear.com)
