Calgary's Julie Van Rosendaal [1], food writer, author, stylist, journalist, contributor to an online cooking series (Good Bite [2]) and co-host of a TV cooking show (It’s Just Food [3]), is using her influence in the food world to do a good deed. She has combining forces with twenty-seven of Canada’s top food gurus to help out Haiti.
The fruit of their labour is a new cookbook entitled “Blog Aid - Recipes for Haiti” [4], with all proceeds (soft cover $25 or hard cover $50) going straight to Haitian relief, courtesy of the Red Cross [5] and Doctors without Borders [6]. It offers readers the opportunity to create some delicious dishes and help out the people of the embattled island nation.
