The holiday season is around the corner and you’ve just realized you need celebrate it with friends, colleagues or family. Unfortunately, most venues for winter festivities were booked up months ago. Luckily, there are still a few spots around Calgary that can host that holiday party you’re planning last minute, without your guests suspecting a thing.
Crestmont Hall
The Crestmont Hall’s 2,500-square-foot upper hall offers a fantastic view of the mountains, as well as space for nearly 200 guests for a reception or 120 for a sit-down event. Crestmont residents can also expect a discount, but Calgarians who don’t reside in Crestmont can book space here as well.

Heritage Park
Heritage Park has a number of smaller venues with space to spare come the holiday party season. Gunn’s Dairy Barn, the Railway Orientation Centre, Canmore Opera House and Millarville Ranchers’ Hall all offer space to accommodate between 40 and 120 guests and also offer a buffet service option for lunch and dinner.

University of Calgary
The University of Calgary has a number of event venues to choose from, including the open lobby and banquet space of the EEEL Building and any of the U of C’s ballroom and event spaces, which are perfectly suited for a medium sized cocktail party. The various rooms can host parties from 72 to 900 guests and offer onsite professional catering services as well.

Valley Ridge Golf Club
Though you can’t hit the greens in December, you can still admire the landscape from one of Valley Ridge’s two banquet rooms, which feature full catering services and bar facilities for up to 200 patrons.

Winsport
Winsport offers a host of features and activities for corporate events and kid-friendly Christmas parties, including buffets, three-course menus and bar options, as well as face painting, magicians or a petting zoo for the kids. You can also book meeting and multi-purpose rooms to create your own shindig.
