11 Late-Night Restaurant Deals in Calgary

Head to these restaurants at night for deals on pizza, tacos, barbecue, sliders and more.

The next time you get a late-night food craving, don’t let the fact that you’ve missed the afternoon happy hour keep you away. These Calgary restaurants offer late-night happy hours or deals during their last hours of service that will keep your wallet and your stomach happy.

 

Cactus Club Cafe

In addition to its regular daily happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., all three Cactus Club locations in Calgary offer late-night food and drink specials. The happy hour menu features deals on dishes like edamame, truffle fries, mini crispy chicken sandwiches and flatbread, as well as drinks like bellinis and negronis.

Cleaver

Cleaver offers its happy hour twice a day from Sunday to Thursday. It runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and then again from 9 p.m. to close. During those times, you can get wine, beer and cocktails for only $8. Plus, you can get almost any of the 10 sliders on the menu for only $4 each.

Cibo​

This popular Italian spot has two locations and both offer a late-night happy hour.

17 Ave. S.W. location
You can get pizza, antipasti and draft beer for $5 (as well as scodellina for $3) during the late-night happy hour.
Late-night happy hour times:
Monday to Thursday from 9 p.m. to close; Friday and Saturday, 10 p.m. to close

Centre St. location
You can get six kinds of pizza, scodellina, draft beer and glasses of wine for $5 during this location’s late-night happy hour. You can also get these deals between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Late-night happy hour times:
Monday to Thursday starting at 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday starting at 9 p.m.; Sunday starting at 8 p.m.

Comery Block

Comery Block, a new barbecue spot that opened on 17 Ave. S.W. this past summer, takes a page from its sister restaurant with its late-night happy hour. Like Hayden Block, this restaurant offers meats for half-price starting at 10 p.m.

Earls Kitchen + Bar

Grab a seat at any Earls location to take advantage of its great happy hour deals in the afternoon and evening. Earls’ happy hour takes place twice daily: from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (ends at 5 p.m. at the Westhills location) and again from 9 p.m. until close. Look for specials on dishes like Hawaiian coconut prawns, chicken tacos, yam fries and buffalo cauliflower, as well as wine, Margaritas, highballs and more.

Every day from 9 p.m. to close (except at the Tin Palace location, which only offers this late-night happy hour from Sunday to Thursday).

Gringo St.

Like its sister restaurant Cleaver, Gingo St. offers its happy hour twice a day from Sunday to Thursday. It runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and then again from 9 p.m. to close. During those times, the restaurant has $5 margaritas, beer and wine. Plus, eat your fill of $3 tacos featuring Guinness braised short rib, steak, crispy duck and more.

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ​

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ has a daytime happy hour from Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The special reoccurs at varying times during evenings and weekends. If there’s just two of you, consider trying the happy hour prix-fixe barbecue deal with 11 dishes for $55.

At Lately, you can get a deal on some tasty snacks during its afternoon happy hour (daily from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.) or later on during the late-night happy hour that runs from Sunday to Thursday. Swing by then for $3 sliders, $5 truffle fries, $7 guac and chips and $4.50 tequila, house wine and Stoli flavoured vodka.

Native Tongues Taqueria

Native Tongues offers a great deal where you can get its tacos de guisados for only $2.50 each anytime on Tuesdays. But you can also order those tacos for only $3 each during the restaurant’s reverse happy hour, which is offered daily from 10 p.m. to close. The reverse happy hour also features the hamburguesa al carbon for $10, AGD for $4 and a feature tequila for $5.

Tropical

At Tropical, the daily specials extend into the late-night happy hour. That means you can get a late-night deals on tacos on Tuesdays and Thursdays, wings on Wednesdays and nachos on Sundays. Not only that, but the late happy hour also features deals on giant five-ounce margaritas, one-ounce margaritas and bottles of Corona.
