Best Places to Dine in the Rockies

Three great restaurants to choose from plus a six-pack of bars to keep your happy hour extra happy – mountain towns: they have it all.

Eden Restaurant

When it comes to aprs-dining, there’s a time for nachos and a time for haute cuisine. If you find it’s time for the latter, look no further than Eden restaurant at the Rimrock hotel in Banff. Eden’s fine-dining menu features multi-course tasting menus with artfully presented dishes of impeccable quality and creativity.

Stbli

Is there anything more mountain-y than fondue? Last year, the Post Hotel launched Stbli, a cozy fondue restaurant that serves traditional Swiss-style cheese, beef and chocolate fondues. There are only 24 seats, so reservations are definitely recommended.

Yamagoya

It may seem strange to have excellent sushi in a mining/ski town like Fernie, but it’s true, nonetheless. By far the most popular restaurant in town, it doesn’t take reservations, so you’ll most likely have to wait for a table, but don’t fret – it’s worth it.

The 6 Best Bars in the Rockies

The Griz Bar, Fernie

The Iron Goat Pub & Grill, Canmore
