Six Characters in Search of an Author

This contemporary interpretation of Luigi Pirandello’s classic plays finds six characters appearing at a rehearsal, addressing the audience and asking for a chance to act out their stories.

It’s a Wonderful Life

CBC's This is That

Christmas at the Opera: Doctor Miracle

This year, Calgary Opera’s Christmas offering is George Bizet’s Le Docteur Miracle, the story of a pair of lovers who must outwit their disapproving elders, only this production includes a Christmas feast as its centrepiece.

Chrismoose Carol

This always comedic reimagining of Dickens’ celebrated Christmas story takes the tale to different places every year. Past productions have been set in ancient Rome and the Wild West, and one show even allowed the audience to decide which actor would play Scrooge. Though this year’s twist is still a secret, it’s sure to be an entertaining production that still keeps the charm of the source material.

The Nutcracker
