Funds raised at the event will help support HomeFront's efforts to eliminate domestic violence through direct client services, justice coordination and facilitated community action. Takeout shop and catering service Forage Foods will honour Newfoundland traditions with a Jiggs Dinner on Thursday, October 24 at Banded Peak Brewing. Guests will enjoy cod cakes, salt beef, root vegetables, pease pudding, roast chicken and blueberry cobbler, as well a live music and mixing. Turn the tables on INLIV's personal trainers at the 21st annual "Train the Trainer" fundraiser. The event allows participants to exact revenge for a good cause, offering the opportunity to "buy" (by donation) five minute sessions during which the trainer must do any exercise the guest chooses. All proceeds raised go towards the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, meaning you can subject trainers to the most grueling activities you can think of without any guilt. Your Brain Art will be a night of "edutainment" featuring cocktails and appetizers, an art show and auction, music by the Instrumental Society of Calgary, and presentations from researchers working on treatments for neurological disorders. Funds raised support Branch Out's mission to accelerate tech solutions and non-pharmaceutical approaches to neurological disorders.
