What began as an ambitious endurance challenge quickly became a powerful national movement rooted in purpose, storytelling and community.
In 2025, Mike Hanson and Dave Morin set out to complete 10 marathons in 10 consecutive days across 10 Canadian provinces, an extraordinary feat in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters, KidSport and the Autism Asperger Friendship Society. Their goal was to raise $1 million to support youth through mentorship, recreation and autism programming.
By the time they crossed the finish line at the Servus Calgary Marathon, they had surpassed that target, demonstrating not only remarkable determination, but the power of collective action.
At the heart of the campaign was authenticity. Mike Hanson shared his experience as a father of children with autism, while Dave Morin spoke to the life-changing impact of mentorship through his work with Big Brothers Big Sisters. These personal stories created a deep emotional connection, inspiring Canadians to engage, give and share the journey.
Through national media coverage, grassroots support and strong corporate partnerships, the initiative reached audiences across the country. More than a fundraiser, the 10 in 10 in 10 challenge elevated conversations around youth mental health, inclusion and access, proving that when purpose meets action, it can unite a nation.
