Vend Market is teaming up with Thistle + Clover to host a holiday market at the Lake Bonavista Promenade from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on December 2.

Under $100 Art Show

This year is the 16th annual Under $100 Art Show hosted by Art Spot Calgary, with two weekends to get all of your holiday shopping done. The group exhibition and sale displays art under $100 from local artists, helping them sell their wares and helping buyers purchase affordable, original art. The market includes a variety of items including paintings, photography, pottery, glassware, jewellery, clothing, woodwork, leatherwork, sculptures and more.

Christmas Craft Market

Watts Alberta Events is debuting its first annual Christmas Crafts Market. Join in the festivities with 93 vendors, raffles, prizes and more. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and ends at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Market Collective

Market Collective returns for two weekends in December. In addition to shopping for local products, guests can take part in workshops, listen to live music, order food and more.

Heritage Treasures Christmas Market

Millarville Christmas Market

The 35th annual Millarville Christmas Market is sure to give you all the seasonal feels. Visit the vendors set up indoors and outdoors to find baked goods and handmade gifts such as pottery, stained glass pieces, woodworking, apparel and jewellery. You can also spend the day enjoying food trucks, campfires, music and more. The market runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Heritage Weavers and Spinners Annual Fall Sale

The Heritage Weavers and Spinners Guild offers only one fibre arts sale per year. Browse a selection of warm, locally made garments and learn from the pros with demos done throughout the event. With temperatures dropping and Christmas around the corner, this may be the place to find a snuggly gift for someone special. It runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Festive Foothills Art Sale

This popular market is hosted by the Leighton Art Centre and features fine artworks and crafts from more than 100 local artists in the historic Leighton home. Head to this market to find a unique, one-of-a-kind gift. Formerly known as Christmas in the Country, the Festive Foothills Art Sale runs from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

When: Tuesday to Sunday from November 10 to December 21, 2023 (starts online November 7)

Peak to Prairie Market

The third annual Peak to Prairie market will feature more than 75 local vendors and makers offering baby items, clothing, accessories, decor and more. Opening hours, vendors and ticket prices will be announced at a later date.

Art Market Arts and Craft Sale

Dating back to 1987, the Art Market has been going for more than 35 years, bringing hundreds of artisans and artists together for one of Calgary’s biggest craft and art sales. This year will include evening bar service and live music to help put you in a shopping mood.

Contextural Fibre Arts Sale

Contextural is a group of artists who support each other in their individual fibre practices, and they’ll be hosting their annual Contextural Fibre Arts Sale this November. Shoppers can view and purchase beautiful fibre work, while learning about the art process from the artists themselves. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Balzac Christmas Market

At the Balzac Christmas Market, you will find local artisans selling items like decor, women’s and children’s apparel, baked goods and plenty more handmade goods. The market is open Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

AUArts SA Show + Sale

This year, the AUArts Students’ Association is hosting a show and sale to highlight the impressive work of its artists. Expect ceramics, digital prints, mixed media, jewellery, paintings, sculptures and more. Stop by on Friday during the First Night Fundraiser for the first look at items up for sale.

When: November 17 and 18, 2023

Where: AUArts Campus, 1407 14 Ave. N.W.

Cost: On November 17, First Night Fundraiser tickets are $25, with a portion of proceeds supporting AUArts scholarships. On November 18, entry is by donation.

 

Banff Christmas Market

Live music, photos with Santa and an outdoor fire lounge are just a few of the perks you can experience while shopping at this Banff market. There will be more than 100 vendors in attendance, so be sure to buy a pre-purchased ticket to secure a timeslot for one of the three market weekends.

Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market

This year, the Spruce Meadows Christmas Market is held over three weekends throughout the Spruce Meadows complex. The market runs from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

When: November 17 to 19, 24 to 26, and December 1 to 3, 2023

Holiday Inglewood Night Market

The Holiday Inglewood Night Market returns for another year, with more than 50 local vendors in attendance. Plus, live music, holiday workshops and a licensed bar make this a market you can spend an entire evening exploring. The Inglewood Night Market will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night.

Shawnessy Christmas Craft Fair

The Grand South Christmas Market

Westminister Christmas Market and Bake Sale

Lake Bonavista Christmas Craft Fair

This craft fair sells a range of products created by local artisans, including knitting and paper products. You’ll also find items that aren’t from crafters, like Pampered Chef and Tupperware. The market runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Holiday Craft Fair

The Bowness Community Association will hold its annual Holiday Craft Fair across two days from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shop from local Bowness and Calgary artisans selling items such as Christmas cards, holiday decorations, clothing and books by local authors. Cochrane Artisan Christmas Market

The annual Cochrane Artisan Christmas Market has added two extra days this year, making it a six-day event that is a great opportunity for grabbing gifts. There will be more than 45 artisan vendors selling handcrafted gifts. This market runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and until 3 p.m. on Sundays.

The Holiday Market at Deerfoot Inn & Casino

This holiday market is back for its third year. Taking place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside Deerfoot Inn & Casino, the market will feature more than 60 vendors, with all kinds of local crafts for purchase.

Bearspaw Fall Harvest Market

Formerly known as the Fall & Christmas Market, this market has offered fall and Christmas goodies to the community for more than 40 years. There will be more than 100 vendors on site this year. It runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Fibre Shindig

Ujamaa Grandmas Bags, Babies and Beyond

Ujamaa Grandmas holds its annual fall sale in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, which supports organizations dedicated to helping people in Africa who are affected by HIV and AIDS. The market sells handmade purses, accessories, decor items and toys. If you go home with nothing else, get a felted bag — it’s what the group is known for. Note that only debit and credit transactions will be accepted at this event. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Palette Fine Art Show and Sale
