Get a Post-Stampede Facial from Skoah

If the stacks of pancakes, hot sweaty days and late boozy nights of the Stampede have left your skin begging for some love, we’ve got the cure for you

Now that the dust has settled from the Greatest Show on Earth, it might feel like it has all landed in your pores. Luckily Skoah is offering their annual Stampede Recovery facial ($70) until July 31 to remedy any damage the ten days of merriment has inflicted.

The treatment targets the two most needy areas: the face and feet. Cowboy boots and hats might do what they can to protect you from the elements, but it was a hot, dry Stampede and your skin might be parched and sun-damaged. Your feet probably need some TLC, too.

Treatments are tailored to your own specific needs, but our’s started off with the refreshing gel cleanser ($30) and tonik toner ($25). Pores are softened with the exfoliating AHA mask ($35), and then the nitty gritty begins. The esthetician examines the skin under a magnifying apparatus and extracts clogged pores – deep cleansing, indeed.

The deeply hydrating – and great smelling – hydradew mask ($45) is applied along with two serums: eye kandy ($52) and neck serum ($50). The finishing touch is a generous application of face skotion SPF 30 ($50). With the application of each product comes a relaxing facial massage.

Feet are cleansed and massaged using a two-step moisturizing process. It’s a blissful ending to hours of standing at concerts, several rounds of the midway and lengthy walks to and fro’ offsite parking.

The Stampede Recovery facial is only available until July 31 at Skoah’s Calgary locations:

Chinook Centre, 403-201-0200, skoah.com

116 10 St. N.W., 403-264-0203, skoah.com
