Located around 56 kilometres southeast of Kelowna, this sprawling resort on Big White Mountain is beloved for its snow conditions and myriad amenities. With an annual average snowfall of 750 centimetres on its 105 kilometres of marked runs, Big White has widespread appeal. All that snowfall leads to the prolific creation of “Snow Ghosts” (trees completely coated in snow and ice that take on prominent shapes), which visitors are sure to see. The resort includes a kids centre and daycare options, retail spaces, restaurants and various accommodations, giving visiting families lots of choices. Unique offerings like a skiable main street and a large night skiing area set Big White apart as well.
