Atelier Suiting
Over the past decade, Atelier Suiting has served nearly 6,000 individual clients with bespoke suits that are classic, elegant and handcrafted using time-honoured techniques.
Atelier forsakes premade templates for hand-measured ones at in-person consultations. Traditional paper patterns are created for each individual client and used to hand-cut the fabric of choice. Eighty per cent of the suit is then sewn manually — a unicorn in today’s factory-driven market.
“The main thing grooms are doing [right now] is tuxedos, which I love. To me, that’s very timeless and elegant,” says founder Lauren Larsen. “There’s [also] a lot of earth tones happening: greens and browns are really, really trendy right now.”
These popular choices are approached with enduring style in mind, achieved by pairing traditional fits with trending colours.
Atelier sources high-quality fabrics from prestigious, generations-old Italian and English mills, and sews a horsehair canvas layer inside each suit to create a shape that forms to the body over time.
From the in-depth consultation to the final fitting, Atelier’s custom tailoring is efficient and painless — the entire process takes fewer than three appointments.
