Mark Stephen took over the business when his father, Jack Stephen, retired in the mid-1990s, and Mark’s wife and children have also worked at the company. Many of Stephen Cleaners’ staff have been with the company for decades, including the company’s dedicated wedding specialist Marlene Lawrence, who’s been part of the Stephen Cleaners family for almost 20 years. Lawrence’s extensive experience means she can examine every dress with a fine-tooth comb and provide clients with a detailed cleaning plan. Along with boxing wedding dresses, clients can bring other special items such as shoes, dried flowers and jewellery to be preserved.
