Winner: Whippt Kitchen
The husband-and-wife chef duo of Alison LaFrance and Andrew Kazakoff founded Whippt Kitchen in 2009. LaFrance, the pastry chef of Whippt Kitchen, spent time in many of the classic European culinary destinations like Italy, Belgium and Austria and says she now draws inspiration for her exceptionally detailed desserts from other pastry artists online. Whippt provides a range of edible party favours such as macarons, sugar cookies, cake pops, cupcakes and doughnuts. Along with custom desserts, Whippt also offers a lunch takeout service Tuesday through Friday. —T.A.
