It’s hard to miss this little shop on the corner of Edmonton Trail and 8th Avenue N.E., with its shelves of lush plants and flowers showcased outside.
The Botanist was founded by Meaghan Cameron, whose vision for the store stemmed from growing microgreens and discovering more sustainable ways of producing her own food. Her curiosity expanded to an interest in houseplants, gardening and bringing green life indoors. From those early seeds grew a botanical lifestyle store that pairs its greenery with a mystical twist, offering tarot readings and a selection of occult books.
