The Urban Painter, a family-run Calgary painting company, has teamed up with Benjamin Moore to offer 10 charities, non-profits, religious spaces or community organizations $5,000 in painting supplies and services to rejuvenate their spaces. The initiative, called Paint4Good, was created in the hope that the updates would inspire members of these groups once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted and they can re-enter the spaces.

Applicants can fill out an online form via the Paint4Good website to apply. An internal voting system will choose the 10 winners and they will receive $5,000 worth of painting services in their spaces. As long as the applicant falls into one of the four categories (charities, non-profits, religious spaces or community organizations), is in Calgary and its space can be accessed while following current social distancing guidelines, they are free to apply. Some of the painting services offered to the winners includes interior and exterior painting, play structures and interior kitchen cabinets.

Winners will be announced weekly, and the first four have already been named: HomeFront, the Dalhousie Community Association, Women in Need Society and Lantern Community Church.
