Join passionate city builders and artists as they discuss things like art, placemaking and wanderlust at Contemporary Calgary. The session features speakers like former city councillor Druh Farrell, Clark Thenhaus (the founding director of Endemic Architecture) and more.

Downtown Calgary’s Stephen Avenue has a rich history, and you can learn all about it on a walking tour with Heritage Calgary. The non-profit organization is a civic partner of The City that aims to promote and advocate for Calgary’s deep and diverse history. Running on select Thursdays and Fridays from June 6 to August 15, the tours offer the chance to learn about historic landmarks, architectural gems and past stories during a guided stroll along Stephen Avenue. Heritage Calgary also has a number of self-guided walking tours available on its website for other neighbourhoods in the city like Inglewood, Kensington, Ramsay and more.

See beautiful paintings of heritage homes at the Rotary Park Mini Galleries
The Rotary Park Mini Galleries are a part of the Northeast Mini Galleries, which are public display cases with small exhibitions featuring smaller-scale work from local artists. In the mini exhibition Gone Forever Houses, artist Jackie Ramsay showcases six paintings of six heritage houses that once stood in the community of Crescent Heights. Visit this six-piece exhibition at the Rotary Park Mini Gallery until June 30.
