The history
Built in 1911, this building has undergone several transformations over the years. It was originally a department store, and then a military headquarters during World War II. In 1974, it was converted into a nightclub. Finally, in the early 1990s, it was converted once more into a residential condominium building. This condo unit maintains some of its historic charm with its New York-style design, which blends luxury with comfort.
What to love
The loft condo’s open floor plan maximizes the sense of space in the unit and the abundant natural light flowing in from the east-facing windows. It has 15-foot ceilings and a black-and-white colour palette. The living room boasts an electric fireplace with a custom glass top, which makes for a great conversation starter. The kitchen is a modern, updated and creative area with a painted glass backsplash, upgraded appliances and ample counter space.
Upstairs, there’s a den ready to be used as a home office, library or yoga space, and the tranquil primary bedroom. The bright and spacious bedroom leads to the spa-like ensuite with a step-in shower, deep soaker tub and floating sink.
What to consider
