Best Bakeries and Cafes

Where would we be without our go-to spot for coffee or fresh morning baking? These are our five favourite places in the city where you can grab-and-go or eat-in-and-relax.

Analog Cafes

Serving the same excellent baking as the now-defunct Corbeaux Bakehouse, Analog’s three locations also showcase the gourmet artisan coffee of Fratello Coffee Roasters. Stop in for an espresso and a croissant and taste simplicity at its finest.

Gravity Espresso & Wine Bar

The wonderful thing about Inglewood’s Gravity is its versatility. A quick morning coffee and granola to-go? Check. A business meeting? Check. House-made soup and sandwiches? Check. A first date? Check. A second date? Well, that depends on you.

Higher Ground Cafe

Open for 33 years now, this community-minded caf has an extensive menu that can keep you fed if you’re hunkered down working there from dawn ’til midnight. Look for creative variations on organic tea mistos.

Rosso Coffee Roasters

With multiple locations serving signature roasted beans and showcasing local art on the walls, it’s hard not to be charmed by Rosso. Start your day with the simple cheddar biscuit breakfast sandwich with a coffee. Because sometimes less is more.

Sidewalk Citizen Bakery

Owner Aviv Fried’s newest location in the Simmons Building looks as good as it smells and features his signature scones, breads and much more. Just a few steps away in the same building is Phil & Sebastian, which will serve you quality coffee.
