Celebrate Crave Cupcakes’ 10-year anniversary with a taster pack of the best Craving of the Month flavours ever

Time flies when you’re having cupcakes!

It’s been 10 years since sisters Carolyne McIntyre Jackson and Jodi Willouby took the baking skills they’d learned alongside their mother and grandmothers in the family kitchen in High River, and opened the doors to the first Crave Cupcakes.

In the beginning, Crave was known for closing its doors early after hungry patrons scarfed down every single tasty morsel that had been baked for that day. That kind of cupcake excitement led to an expanding empire as well as the expanding waistlines of some customers (myself included).

It seems so long ago now, before a host of imitators opened, before the macaron trend, before the gourmet donuts, before the rise and inevitable fall of the cream puff. But even with all those offerings now available for Calgary’s sweet-toothed, Crave Cookies and Cupcakes remains the original sweet-treat specialty bake shop in town.

Now with locations in Kensington, Willow Park, Aspen Landing and Crowfoot as well as outposts in both Edmonton and Saskatoon, there are lots of options to sate your Crave-ings.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary, Crave will be offering a limited edition 10 Year Taster Pack on September 13. The flavours of the dozen cupcakes in the pack are the all-time favourite “Craving of the Month” offerings as voted on by customers.

The packs include S’more, Banana Peanut Butter, Confetti, Raspberry Lemon, Aloha, Chocolate Hazelnut, Boston Cream, Chocolate Caramel, German Chocolate, Mr. Fab’s Espresso and Red Velvet Elvis as well as the signature Crave-O-Licious chocolate cupcake with blue vanilla icing. The packs are available in regular sized ($34.95) and mini cupcake size ($17.95) for the dozen.

In addition to the taster pack, Crave is offering pre-orders of any individual flavours of the dozen. There’s a minimum order of six regular sized or 12 mini donuts. Pre-orders are strongly recommended as most of the taster pack flavours will only be offered on September 13 (the Crave-O-Licious and the Red Velvet Elvis are available on the regular menu). Some but not all of the flavours will also be available as gluten-free cupcakes.
