Fashion retailers in Calgary are no strangers to world-class designers. But when Nordstrom opened the doors to its first international location in September, it gave Calgarians access to several brands this city hasn’t seen before.
Here’s a few worth checking out.
Burberry Beauty
Calgarians can now achieve the “signature Burberry glow” with direct access to the brand’s line of cosmetics. Prior to Nordstrom’s opening in Calgary, Burberry Beauty was only available in Canada at Holt Renfrew in Toronto and Vancouver. Now, fans of the iconic British luxury brand can complete their look with a fresh face. Burberry Beauty is renowned for its high-quality products that help to achieve a natural, yet polished look.
The Warm Glow Bronzer ($61) comes in several matte shades, which make your skin subtly glow. Micronized pigments help bring out your skin’s natural colour and warm your complexion to create a perfectly blended finish.
Kate Spade New York
Classic American prep has never been this bold or bright. With daring colours and graphic prints, Kate Spade New York takes sophistication out of its comfort zone. Until Nordstrom opened, the only Canadian cities where you could find the clothing line were Toronto and Edmonton. And boy, are we glad Kate’s here.
Keep warm this fall in this chic, alpaca and wool blend Daphne coat ($935). The oversized bow on the back adds a feminine touch.

As you might have imagined, Sarah Jessica Parker only designs shoes that would be suitable for one Carrie Bradshaw – and her wannabes, of course. SJP is exclusive to Nordstrom, making Calgary the first city in Canada where the collection is available. And we suspect this city’s going to start looking a little more like New York.
Look for updated classics featuring bright colours and beautiful embellishments, as found on this Daphne grosgrain pump in coral ($463).
