Looking for a place to shop? Now’s the time to find your new favourite store.

Here are five new stores that opened in the city this month – and one that opened in April – that will help you satisfy your shopping needs.

Ten Thousand Villages

This Saturday (May 31), another Ten Thousand Villages will open in Calgary. Like the other locations we’ve come to know and love, the Mission store is a non-profit dedicated to selling gorgeous handmade products and supporting the artisans that produced the work. Keep an eye open for their new summer products, such as the desert tracks bangle set ($18) and the recycled batik earrings ($8).

Maria Toms Pop Up Patio

A summer tradition, this pop-up patio opened for the Easter long weekend and will remain open until the end of August (at least). Expect to find mostly outdoor living products as well as select indoor furniture and accessories. For the first time ever, a Maria Toms “garage sale” at the pop up patio is planned for later in the summer season.

Neal’s Yard Remedies

It’s finally here. Neal’s Yard Remedies, which has more than 80 stores across the world, has opened a Canadian flagship store in Mission. Fans of natural remedies and skincare will appreciate all the store’s products. Look for the power berry facial wash or the Damask lip gloss.

The Face Shop

Those who frequent Market Mall may have noticed that Fruits and Passion has recently been renovated and rebranded. On May 10, Korean cosmetic retailer The Face Shop opened in its place, selling high quality beauty products made from natural ingredients.

Tumi

On May 15, we realized our true love for luxury luggage when Tumi opened in Chinook Centre. It’s only the third Tumi store in Canada and it’s a funky space, complete with an 80-inch television that informs shoppers of the brand’s most recent campaigns and a monogramming station.

Weekend by Max Mara

One of the newest stores to open in the city, Weekend by Max Mara opened in Chinook Centre just last Friday. This is the city’s newest must-visit shop for stylish womenswear, accessories and shoes. Keep an eye open for Max Mara, which will open in the same mall in the fall of 2015.
