Ujamaa Grandmas Bags, Babies and Beyond

Ujamaa Grandmas holds its annual fall sale in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, which supports organizations dedicated to helping people in Africa who are affected by HIV and AIDS. The market sells handmade purses, accessories, decor items and toys. If you go home with nothing else, get a felted bag — it’s what the group is known for. Note that only debit and credit transactions will be accepted at this event. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Beacon Original Art Annual Fall Exhibition and Sale

Beacon Original Art is holding its annual fall art sale where local artists display and sell their paintings, photography, ceramics, sculptures and more. Different artists will appear each day, so stop by both days to see everything on offer. The art sale runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Bearspaw Fall Harvest Market

Formerly known as the Fall & Christmas Market, this market has offered fall and Christmas goodies to the community for the last 40 years. There will be over 100 vendors on site this year. It runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Palette Fine Art Show and Sale

Pick out a new piece of artwork for your home at this show and sale put on by the Calgary Community Painters Society. The art show runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Fibre Shindig

Talented Alberta fibre artisans will be showcased at this market, featuring hand-dyed yarn, spinning fibre, felting, weaving, beads, buttons, jewellery and lots more. Admission includes a raffle ticket for door prizes provided by vendors. Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Heritage Treasures Fall Market

Make a day of it and take a drive through the countryside to check out the Heritage Fall Market. Once there, you can peruse items by more than 65 artisans and custom crafters and purchase some unique gifts. The market runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a similar market in December as well.

Markets in November

Festival of Crafts

This marketplace features works by makers and designers from across Canada, including pottery, food products, jewellery, children’s toys and more. This market starts at 10 a.m. each day.

Cost: $8, ages 12 and under are free


Millarville Christmas Market

The 34th annual Millarville Christmas Market is sure to give you all the seasonal feelings. Visit the vendors set up indoors and outdoors to find baked goods and handmade gifts such as pottery, stained glass pieces, woodworking, apparel and jewellery. You can also spend the day enjoying food trucks, campfires, music and more. The market runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

When: November 3 to 6 and 10 to 13, 2022

Crossfield Christmas Market

Visit this annual Christmas market in Crossfield to do some shopping for the holidays. This year, there will be more than 200 vendors set up across four locations. All venues will be operating at the same time from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. If you can, bring a donation for the food bank.

When: November 4 and 5, 2022

Heritage Weavers and Spinners Annual Fall Sale

The Heritage Weavers and Spinners Guild offers just one fibre arts sale per year. Browse a selection of warm, locally made garments and learn from the pros with demos done throughout the event. With temperatures dropping and Christmas around the corner, this may be the place to find a snuggly gift for someone special. It runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Holiday Inglewood Night Market

The Holiday Inglewood Night Market returns for another year, with more than 50 local vendors in attendance. Plus, live music, holiday workshops and a licensed bar make this a market you can spend an entire day exploring. The Inglewood Night Market will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night.

Christmas in the Country Art Sale

This popular market is hosted by the Leighton Art Centre and features fine artworks and crafts from over 100 local artists in the historic Leighton home. Head to this market to find a unique, one-of-a-kind gift. Christmas in the Country runs from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mount Pleasant Potters Guild Christmas Pottery Sale

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., join the Mount Pleasant Potters’ Guild for its annual sale. Everything from delicate clay work to hearty pots can be found here, all from local artists.

Glamorgan Christmas Fair

Now in its 29th year, this annual market has over 40 vendors selling a huge variety of local art, crafts and products. You can find food products like preserves and baked goods, art and photography, or woodworking and leather goods. The Glamorgan Christmas Fair is open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Holiday Craft Fair

The Bowness Community Association will hold its annual Holiday Craft Fair across two days this year from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shop from local Bowness and Calgary artisans selling items such as Christmas cards, holiday decorations, clothing and books by local authors. More details will be released closer to the event date.

Art Market Arts and Craft Sale

Started in 1987, the Art Market has been going for more than 30 years, bringing more than 200 artisans and artists together for one of Calgary’s biggest craft and art sales. This year will include evening bar service and live music to put you in a shopping mood.

Balzac Christmas Market

This annual sale has added an extra day of shopping this year. At the Balzac Christmas Market, you will find more than 75 local artisans, selling items like decor, women’s and children’s apparel, baked goods and plenty more handmade and handcrafted goods. Open Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Christmas in the Creek Market

The Bragg Creek Artisans return once again this year with their annual craft market, Christmas in the Creek. Teaming up with the Bragg Creek Community Association, makers from Bragg Creek and across Alberta will be selling their goods at the Bragg Creek Community Centre. Christmas in the Creek will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. over the weekend.

Banff Christmas Market

Live music, photos with Santa and an outdoor fire lounge are just a few of the perks you can experience while shopping at this Banff market. There will be more than 100 vendors in attendance, so be sure to buy a pre-purchased ticket in advance for one of the three market weekends.

Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market

This year, the Spruce Meadows Christmas Market is held over three weekends, throughout the Spruce Meadows complex. The market runs from 10 a.m. to 6:30  p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and closes at 5 p.m. on Sundays.

When: November 18 to 20, 25 to 27, and December 2 to 4, 2022

Canmore Christmas Artisans’ Market

Paintings, pottery, body products and food items are just a few of the things you can pick up at this Canmore holiday market. It will be taking place at two locations this year, so be sure to check out both spots from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission proceeds will go towards the Canmore Preschool Society.

Shawnessy Christmas Craft Fair

This one-day Christmas craft fair will fill two floors with more than 30 vendors you can shop from. The market runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Grand South Christmas Market

This Christmas fair will have more than 70 vendors, covering multiple floors for all your market shopping needs. Drop your kids off at the kids zone and take care of all your holiday shopping at once. The market runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Auburn House Christmas Craft and Marketplace

The Made in Alberta Fall Market is full of award-winning products. The annual Cochrane Artisan Christmas Market has added two extra days this year, making it a four-day event that is a great option for grabbing gifts. Under $100 Art Show

This year is the 15th annual Under $100 Art Show hosted by Art Spot Calgary, and there is an extra weekend this year for all of your holiday shopping. The group exhibition and sale displays art under $100 from local artists, helping them sell their wares and helping buyers purchase affordable, original art. The market includes a variety of items including paintings, photography, pottery, glassware, jewellery, clothing, woodwork, leatherwork, sculptures and more. This market runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Vend Urban Market

500 Collective Inaugural Christmas Market

500 Collective is a new collective for creatives in Calgary, providing co-working and workshop space for artists to rent out. Weihnachtsmarkt Christmas Market
