How did you figure out your personal style?
“It’s ever evolving. As one grows they grow into new things. At this moment in time, I happen to appreciate western wear.”
Why is expressing personal style important?
“We all have an aesthetic responsibility to do our best to make the world look better. If the best we can do to contribute is drape ourselves in things that are a little bit more appealing, then we’ve done our part.”
What advice would you give to someone who wants to cultivate their style?
“Take yourself seriously in the right way. You’re always wearing a costume, so get over the idea that that’s somehow detrimental. It’s worth making an effort. Don’t be self-conscious, and wear what feels right for you in the moment.”
What is your favourite piece that you own?
“An old, battered pair of boots from Alberta Boot Company.”
