I’ve never felt confident when it comes to choosing the right nail colour. On the odd occasion that I throw down for a professional manicure, I dread the moment when I have to pick a colour from the rainbow array. If I pick a classic pink or red, I walk out thinking that I should have gone with something a little wilder. But when I walk on the wild side it’s usually a total disaster.
But those days are over now that I’ve struck gold.
The new “Champagne” nail colour from the Joe Fresh Beauty line showed up in our office last week and I decided to give it a whirl. I’m happy to say that I’ve finally found my true colour. The light-gold polish is sunny, sparkly and sophisticated. It goes with everything – from crochet vintage frocks to cut-off jean shorts. It’s perfection. At $4 a bottle, it’s also affordable.
I threw on two coats (Joe’s new bottle design has a more slender applicator nub underneath the removable cap for better dexterity) and finished with a top coat (Bio Sculpture Gel, sold locally at Sante Spa).
It has been a couple days and so far, there’s no major chippage, though it might just be that I’m so happy with the colour I’m refraining from my usual habit of picking at the polish. I really want this one to last!
